A lesson to remember!

So on the 24th of July some of my girlfriends and I went to Bear Lake. We rented Jetski's, layed out on the beach, and played in the water with my friends dog. The jetski's were so much fun. I had a blast up there. On our way back to Ogden my friend and I realized how sunburned we were. Parts of our bodies were almost purple because of exposure to the sun. I had put sunscreen on my face, my head, and my shoulders, but not my arms, legs, or chest. We were in soo much pain. I had to hurry and get ready to go to a friends house (Scott's cousins wife's parents house) to watch the fireworks that were being set off at lagoon (They have a great view from their house). Their whole family was there waiting for the fireworks. We talked to everyone for a little bit and all of the sudden I felt nauseous like I was going to puke. So Scott and I sat down on the grass while we talked to the family and waited for the fireworks to start. The fireworks started and we stood up to go sit down on the chairs so we could see the show. I sat down and I felt really light headed. I said to Scott, "I'm gonna pass out" I layed my head on his shoulder and I passed out! I have never ever ever passed out, I get really light headed but I never pass out. This time I did for about 15-20 seconds. I woke up to Scott yelling my name and patting my cheek and everyone gathered around me. I immediately said "I'm fine I'm fine." Then I passed out again for about 5 seconds!!! Scott scooped me up and took me over to lay on the grass. I woke up and I felt dizzy but not nauseous. I told them I was going to be fine but the mom said that she had called 911 and the ambulance was on the way. GREAT!! She tried to call and cancel but once you call they have to come. Scott and the dad held me by my arms and took me inside to lay on the couch. Now I expected a couple EMT's but there were not only 3 EMT's but a fire cheif, and 2 more cops who were also paramedics. so there were about 6 guys gathered around me trying to take my vitals (my blood pressure was low) and asking me questions such as, "Are you pregnant?" "Is there a possibility you are pregnant?" "Are you trying to get pregnant?" all of these pregnant questions. The answer to all of these questions was "No" They took my vitals a few times and told me and insisted that I needed to go to the hospital whether by Scott or by ambulance, which I thought was SO unnecessary because I was feeling a lot better. They all thought that I was pregnant and there might be complications from that, which I couldn't really rule out because I was waiting for that time of the month any day now. I was finally stable enough for them to leave and Scott and I went home at about midnight which was one hour after the EMT's left. The next day we went to the doctor on campus. He took my vitals
and had me do a urine sample. The results were back! I was NOT pregnant and there was no infection, I had just been in the sun for too long and was a little dehydrated and when I stood up to go sit down at the fireworks I did get light headed, but there was no blood that could rush to my head to recover because it was all in my arms and legs from my sunburn.
SO, always, always, ALWAYS put sunscreen on EVERYWHERE, or else!!!
