My New Room

As you can see from the previous post, we had a blast with Tiffany and the kids here in Houston. Between our many trips to Sheriee's to swim, our adventure to the Children's Museum, our attempt to have a picnic in the park on a HOT and HUMID day in July, our shopping day at Kohl's, our puppet shows, and the delicious ice cream tasting event, Tiffany helped me redecorate my room. I had every intention of taking before pictures but realized I didn't after the room was put together. These few videos are the only pictures I have of our room. Notice the peach walls, the rust colored comforter, and the blue/brown curtains (what an awful combination). It was in despereate need of a makeover.

AFTER:

I'm still working on a few details. I need something bigger above the bed but haven't found just the right thing yet. So if you have a room that's in need of a makeover, you know who to call.

Thanks Tiff!

Houston

Me, Corb, Sweet Pea, and Bostie, went to see these cutie pies last week!  Here are a few highlights:

Chloe:  I think those flowers need some watering
Flowers: Mmmm, chlorine water. *choke*, "gasp!"

Sherie was nice enough to let us use her pool several times.  She even made snow cones for the kids.

Bring me a goblet of something refreshing to drink!!

Sword fight.  The ladies were dressed as princesses and were cheering them on from the sidelines.

Corbin thought the order of these next 2 pictures was hilarious.  He wanted me to make sure and include this on the post:

Here's mom doing all the work.....

while Aunt Amber takes it easy!  (In reality we know that is absolutely NOT TRUE!!)

We went to Kohl's.  We paired up the kids and told them they could explore the store.  They were so excited.

Brityn and Channing off to see what they could see.

Corbin had Chlo and Bostie trapped like rats in a shopping cart.

Things were going so smoothly, until an older lady came up to Corbin and told him the store wasn't a playground and the shopping carts weren't toys.  This took the wind out of their sails & scared them to death, and so we left shortly after that to go eat at chick-fil-a.  Low and behold who is also eating there?  The mean lady!!  I really wanted our kids to run back and forth passed her booth yelling and being obnoxious, but I decided to be the bigger person and let the poor women just observe our circus from a distance.

Nap time?  Yeah right.

Puppet show with plastic spoons and pipe cleaners.  Amber is so creative

Children's Museum:

Chlo trying to choke down Tiffs Famous Spinach Potatoes:

Trying really hard not to gag.

Still there.

Then she spits the bite out into her had and says:  I just can't.  This is........this is really gross.

Cracked me up!  I don't think Amber was amused.

We had a really fun time.  There was also a hilarious incident involving a squirrel, but that really needs to be told in person.  Thanks Amber for a great time!

Good times
